TaxEstimator v3.5.1 (2Mb) is a stand-alone Windows95/98/NT4/XP program designed to estimate taxes. Though not supported by DallasCAD, it will calculate taxes for a city, a school, and county, with or without most common exemptions. Version 3.5.x includes additional tables for Collin, Dallas, and Denton, counties in addition to Tarrant. (10/04/2000)

Tax Rate Tables for Version 3

2006 Dallas Tax Rates now available. All others are 2003:

• Dallas County
• Tarrant County
• Collin County
• Denton County**

Note: Right click on the tax table you want to download and choose "Save Target As..." from the context menu. Change the "Save as Type" to "All Files". Download the table to the "c:\program files\taxestimator35\" directory. See the link above to learn how to update the TaxEstimator with the table you just downloaded.

BUG ALERT: TaxEstimator v3.5.0 incorrectly calculates Special District taxes under some circumstances. This is fixed in version 3.5.1. (10/13/2000)

**BUG ALERT: The city of Roanoke in Denton County has a local option homestead exemption with a $10,000 minimum. The version 3.5.0 of TaxEstimator assumes the state minimum of $5,000 for all calculations. This is fixed in version 3.5.1. Only values below $50,000 in the city of Roanoke are affected by the bug. 10/09/2000
