Description:

  • This position is responsible for the appraisal of Business Personal Property accounts in an assigned territory, and interacting with taxpayers.

Requirements:

  • This position requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or previous experience in appraisal preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with the DCAD automobile insurance requirements.
  • Candidate Must successfully complete a driving and criminal background investigation.

Compensation: $36,000.00 Plus $7,200.00 a year auto allowance

Residential Appraiser

Description:

  • This position is responsible for the appraisal of residential accounts in an assigned territory, and interacting with taxpayers.

Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of DCAD goals and procedures, ability to plan, organize, and communicate with the public on the laws and regulations applicable to appraisals.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with the DCAD automobile insurance requirements as outlined in Policy 124.
  • Must successfully complete a driving and criminal background investigation as required by DCAD Personnel Policy and Procedure.
  • Other aspects of the job include having knowledge of all three approaches to value: income, market and cost.
  • Also, have a working knowledge of appraisal concepts, DCAD procedures, computer appraisal systems and exemption administration.
  • This position requires a college degree in real estate, finance, or related degree or previous experience in appraising.

Compensation: Starting salary is $36,000.00 with an auto allowance of $7,200.00 a year.
